![]() ![]() More often than not, we take our heart for granted and the condition we subject it to. There is a piece of flesh in the body if it becomes good (reformed) the whole body becomes good but if it gets spoilt the whole body gets spoilt and that is the heart. We all know the famous hadith about the heart which goes like: May Allah swt make it beneficial for both of us. I intend to share it here as a reminder for myself first and then for you. In sha Allah this series will ensure that I am steadfast in this journey. I am reading its translation compiled by Abu Rumaysah. The second book is the Diseases of the Hearts and their Cures by Ibn Taymiyyah. It is basically the translation and commentary of Imam al-Mawlud’s treatise, Matharat al-Qulub. One is the Purification of the Heart by Hamza Yusuf. ![]() For this purpose, I will be starting with this Ramadan series which will largely be based upon my reading of two books. The diseases that affect our hearts and how to cure them. One of the Ramadan goals I have this year is to learn more about the ailments of the heart and their healing process. May this Ramadan be a productive and goal oriented Ramadan for you and for me. ![]() May Allah grant us barakah in this month, in terms of time, energy and focus.
